Content Management System (CMS) – Joomla

In questa sezione sono disponibili le estensioni Joomla sviluppate nel corso del tempo, sia per motivi prettamente lavorativi sia per motivi di puro divertimento. Ricordo che su Joomla esistono diverse tipologie di estensioni che brevemente riassumo:

  • Component – Mini-application to render the main page body;
  • Module – Renders small html blocks on any page;
  • Plugin – Changes code behavior dynamically;
  • Language – Provides language translation;
  • Extension Specific AddonExt. Specific Addon – Specific addon that requires another ext. to operate;

    1. Hi Antonio. I’d love some instruction in English on how to install and make this code work. Can I help with documentation somehow?

      Thanks in advance.

      James

      • Hello James,
        I have not had time to write documentation of the Plugin.

        The plugin is so simple just install and configure it by specifying the SOAP service endpoint SugarCRM.

        The code that implements the plugin is simple and I think very clear.

        I hope to write up the documentation for the next week.

        Thanks,
        Antonio.

    2. Hi,

      Would this extension also support vTiger CRM?

      • Hello,
        J-Authenticate SugarCRM plugin is not compatible with vTigerCRM. The Web Service API vTigerCRM are not compatible with SugarCRM.

        If you want, I could develop the same plugin (same features) for vTigerCRM. What do you think?

        Bye
        Antonio.

    3. Would love to use this and donate. Installed it and see no difference. When I click yes on the ‘Check Portal Enabled’ it crashes my site. What is this checking for? On the SugarCRM side or the Joomla side?

      In the SOAP End Point I have http://mysite.com/soap.php?wsdl

      Any support or help anywhere?

      • Hello Eddy,
        I attach a PDF (http://musarra.files.wordpress.com/2010/05/j-sugarcrmauthenticatepluginscreen.pdf) file that shows the steps to be followed during installation and configuration.
        After installing the plugin installed and configured, you enable the plugin from the Plugin Manager Joomla (see attached PDF on page 3 “STEP 3″).

        Check Enabled Portal functionality resides on SugarCRM, but is not currently implemented by the plugin as soon as I hope to implement this feature and write documentation for installation and configuration of the plugin.

        I really hope to have been of help.

        Bye
        Antonio.

      • Hello Heddy,
        you could run the Joomla Plugin for SugarCRM?

        Let me know if everything is OK.

        Bye
        Antonio

        • I will check this and see if it makes changes on my site.

    5. Thank you for the PDF. It was very clear. I think I have it set up correctly. I do not get any errors. My site does not have a ‘mod_login’ it has ‘mod_yoo_login (which is enabled)’ and ‘mod_k2_login (which is disabled).

      Maybe I misunderstand what this plugin should do. Once I log into my Joomla site and click on my SugarCRM site, should I automatically be logged into my CRM site?

      Is there setup in the CRM I am not doing that enables SOAP?

      Thank you for your time and effort.

      • Hello Heddy.
        The objective of the Plugin JSugarCRMAuthenticate is to provide a driver Authentication for Joomla. If the plugin is active, all users who want access to the portal Joomla, users must be defined on SugarCRM.

        The Plugin uses Web services (via SOAP) SugarCRM to perform the authentication process.

        When the authentication process is successful, the plugin will create its user on Joomla (full name, surname and email), it is necessary to manage user permissions on portal Joomla.

        The plugin does not perform any write operation on SugarCRM.
        Maybe the plugin is not consistent with your needs.

        I hope I have answered your questions so decisive.

        Bye
        Antonio.

    6. Olá Musara!

      Realizei a instalação de seu componente, mas quando tento
      logar é apresentado este erro:
      Fatal error: Class ‘SoapClient’ not found in /home/i43685/public_html/portal/plugins/authentication/sugarcrmoversoap.php on line 89
      O que está errado? Não tenho mais acesso ao backend de administração por causa do erro.

      • Sorry!

        Musara Hello!

        I performed the installation of your component, but when I try
        log is displayed this error:

        Fatal error: Class ‘SoapClient’ not found in /home/i43685/public_html/portal/plugins/authentication/sugarcrmoversoap.php on line 89

        What is wrong? I no longer have access to the backend administration because of the error.

        • Hi Aurtur.
          The plugin requires that the PHP engine installed and enabled the PHP SOAP module (http://it.php.net/manual/en/book.soap.php).
          I hope I have been clear.

          Bye,
          Antonio.

    9. Hello Antonio,

      My webhost does not have the SOAP extension running. How do I uninstall your plugin. I no longer am able to access my administration console on my site.

    10. Hello Antonio,

      My webhost does not have SOAP installed on the server. How do I remove your plugin. I no longer have access to my administration section.

      Thanks
      Lionel

      • Hello,
        should have access to the database (MySQL) and disable the Joomla plugin through the update operation on a table of plugins for the record of the plugin you have installed.

        After the update operation on the table plugin should be able to access the administration console and remove the Joomla plugin.

        Bye,
        Antonio

    11. Ciao Antonio,
      com’è possibile che con alcuni utenti l’autenticazione funziona e con altri no?

      • Ciao Erika,
        bella domanda, ma per risponderti sarebbe utile qualche informazione aggiuntiva. Immagino che stai parlando del Plugin che ho sviluppato io qualche tempo addietro.

        Quale versione di Joomla e SugarCRM utilizzi ?
        Quale versione del Plugin utilizzi ?
        Riesci a inviarmi i file di log generati dal Plugin ?

        Sui file di log dovrebbe esserci la causa del problema.

        Fammi sapere.

        Bye,
        Antonio.

        • Ciao Erika,
          scusa il ritardo nella risposta ma il tuo commento era finito nello SPAM forse a causa del codice e solo oggi mi sono accorto. Comunque, veniamo a noi.
          Mi dici che con alcuni utenti funziona e con altri no. Dai fai di log, sembra comunque che SugarCRM non gestisce via WS lo scadere della sessione utente e restituisce la form HTML di login e giustamente il plugin non sa come trattare la risposta, errore looks like we got no XML document. Questa situazione non mi è mai capitata, anche perchè è raro che in fase di login la sessione di scada prima che inizi.

          Per te sarebbe difficoltoso provare a fare l’upgrade del plugin dalla versione 1.6 alla versione 1.7 e verificare il funzionamento ?

          Bye,
          Antonio
